Course Description

This training session will highlight how to create a harmonious lifestyle for executing one's mental health goals. Attendees will learn the difference between work-life balance and work-life harmony and why the latter should be the target goal for overall functionality. Individuals will also learn the power of clarifying one's values and how that impacts our decision-making skills based on SAMHSA's 8 Dimensions of Wellness Model. This session encourages both clinicians and the clients that they serve to reconsider what they have been taught about the pursuit of balance. It encourages individuals to see themselves from a holistic lens and challenges them to develop intersectionalities rather than leaving specific aspects of themselves out of the conversation of wellness.
